IAN INDIANO was born in Franca, SP, Brazil, in 1997. With a degree in Visual Communication, he worked in publicity agencies, design studios, galleries and cultural projects. He was the personal assistant to the visual artist Rafael Coutinho. He currently lives in London, Ontario, Canada.
Among his personal works, we can find zines and graphic novels. In 2018, along with five other authors, he won the Des.Gráfica open-call, in São Paulo, Brazil, having his book (Rhapsody for operatrix machine) published by the Museum of Image and Sound of São Paulo. In 2020 he won the McNeill Family Award for Emerging Artists. In 2021 he received the Bob and Shelly Siskind Visual Arts Award.
In his work, everything is approached as language experimentation. As a result, he explores different mediums and techniques, from comics to painting. In 2022 he got an Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts, from Fanshawe College.
